June's Meeting

A t the June meeting there will be working on two projects. First will be the continuation of the pocket-hole jig and sofa table project from the May meeting. Bring in your jig and prepared stock for the table and we will begin construction.

Second will be the first portion of the End Table for the Wood Carvers show. We will be showing the first portion of components and working on the joinery.

Remember to bring in items or photos to show what other projects you are working on.

May's Meeting

A t May's meeting Jeff demonstrated a shop built pocket-hole jig. This used a router to cut the slot and then provided a guide to drill the pilot hole for the screw. Plans were handed out to build both the jig and a sofa/hall table using pocket-hole construction.

Plans were also distributed for building the table for the Wood Carvers show. Matt, Don, Chris, Jeff and Stephen will be working on this. This table was featured in Woodsmith issue #154.
